Christina is a Certified Massage Therapist and Master Practitioner in Phenomenal Touch® Massage serving clients in Winter Park and Fraser Colorado.
Christina attended the Colorado School of Healing Arts in 1995, located in Lakewood Colorado, with 700 hours of training to become a certified massage therapist.
Expanding her training in massage therapy, she attended the Institute for Phenomenal Touch where she studied Phenomenal Touch® techniques and modalities in 2006.
Christina then moved on to become a Phenomenal Touch Master Practitioner in 2009 after completing an additional 400 hours of training. In November of 2010 she added another 400 hours of additional training to fulfill the designation as a Phenomenal Touch Instructor.
Christina believes on the importance of staying current and up to date with her massage training and continues to take continuing education classes on a regular basis.
In 1996 she started working as a massage therapist at Alpine Physical Therapy in Fraser Colorado, which became Howard Head Sports Medicine. She continued working at the clinic until the fall of 2012 when the sports medicine clinic closed their location in Fraser. Since then, Christina has turned her full attention to expanding her private practice, Christina Russell Massage CMT and has been serving clients in the Winter Park and Fraser Colorado area since 2012 as a Certified Massage Therapist and Phenomenal Touch® Massage Instructor.
Her massage technique provides a 3 dimensional integrative approach with techniques in Phenomenal Touch®, Neuromuscular Therapy, Compassionate/Swedish/Deep Tissue Massage, Passive Stretching, Reflexology and Myofascial Release along with the use of Essential Oils.
She has over 30 years of experience and has worked on thousands satisfied of clients. Her reputation has been outstanding and it has been heard on more than one occasion by her clients that her massages are the best they have ever received... throughout the world! Christina was born in Montreal Canada and grew up in New England where she cultivated her love of the outdoors. After she completed an outdoor leadership program she taught Nordic and telemark skiing as well as canoeing and kayaking. She moved to Colorado in 1990 and began her massage career.
Christina Russell is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher and an accomplished Nordic Instructor. She currently teaches with the Grand Nordic Club and is part of the Colorado Nordic Masters. She got her start teaching Nordic skiing at Eldora Mountain Resort and later at Devil’s Thumb Nordic Ranch from 1995 to 2000.
In addition, Christina has extensive experience leading and teaching women fitness and yoga at Women’s Quest where she has been on staff since 1996. Women’s Quest is an organization that provides fitness and yoga retreats for women. Her time with WQ has brought her to Tuscany, Peru, Greece, Vermont, Moab, Sonoma and right here in Winter Park, Colorado where she has been teaching cross country skiing, mountain biking, providing massage treatments and leading participants.
Christina also offers private classes in Nordic skiing, mountain biking, belly dancing, and other fitness classes in the Winter Park area plus group athletic instruction at the Grand Park Community Recreation Center in Fraser, CO.
